Am I a good fit for this program?
This program is intended for sustainability professionals (from social impact to climate change). If you answer 'yes' to any of the questions below, this program is a good fit for you.
Are you:
Constantly feeling not good enough / successful enough?
Wanting more joy, laughter, and possibility in your life?
Not sure how to get through this phase (whatever it is)?
Do you:
Want to feel a sense of well-being, even amidst the complexity of the world around you?
Secretly shame yourself for wanting more “self care”?
Dream of deeper connections and relationships?
If you are unsure, reach out to us and we are happy to talk about 'fit'.
What is coaching?
Here’s a great video that explains what coaching is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nFx6yKZrzco
Not in a video-friendly space right now?
Coaching is partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential (ICF). Coaching brings transformational change to support the client’s vision and direction. Our core belief is that you, the client, are innately creative, capable, and competent, and are the expert in your own life.
Coaching is proven to work when there are two factors present:
1) You are willing to grow; and
2) There is a gap between where you are now and where you want to be.
That is all that is necessary for the Coach and the Client to solve problems, create a new life, turn a business around, and/or design and implement a plan of action.
We believe that each individual has the answer to their questions within them, and we support them in finding the answer.
What’s the difference between professional coaching, mentoring, counseling, and consulting?
Mentoring: experts in their fields draw on their experience and expertise to help others reach success.
Therapy: focuses on the past and works to fix what's broken. It may look to heal from the discomfort of past experience or trauma that impacts the client’s ability to move forward.
Consulting: provides data, analysis, and road maps for organizational change. Consultants make recommendations and offer answers and solutions.
Professional Coaching: focused on you, helping you design your future, your goals. Coaching is a partnership dedicated to your greatest good, to your personal and professional success, however you define it. A coach is your partner, advocate, and cheerleader as well as a keen observer and truth teller.
What is group coaching?
Group coaching follows the basic tenets of individual coaching (see above), while focused on a common theme. In this case, our common theme is helping sustainability professionals shift from a mindset and experience of "striving" to "thriving." Group coaching offers the benefit of leveraging collective wisdom and resources to meet individual goals. It also supports networking and building connection (something from which we can all benefit!).
What can I expect from participating in this program?
During six small-group coaching sessions and three one-on-one coaching sessions, this program will help you shift from a scarcity mindset to one of possibility. You will gain greater self-awareness and clarity around the barriers you face on your journey to thriving. You will be introduced to various tools and concepts that will expand your emotional intelligence and will support you in being more intentional as you navigate challenges.
You can expect a judgement free zone and safe space to process where you've been and where you're going. You can also expect to benefit from the collective wisdom, energy, momentum, and accountability from your program peers (e.g., other women working for a better world).
How long will each session last?
Each group coaching session will last 90 minutes. Each one-on-one coaching session will be between 45 to 60 minutes in length.
What am I committing to?
You are committing to:
Participating in 6 group coaching sessions.
Dedicating approximately 2 hours per week. On weeks between group sessions, you will engage in various practices and reflection activities.
Yourself. What you get out of this program will depend on your willingness to be fully present and reflect, and to be honest and open to new or different ways of being and thinking. You will have 3 one-on-one coaching sessions available to you to support your growth and we strongly encourage you to use them.
Showing up for your peers in this program, as well as keeping what is shared during the group sessions confidential. We encourage you to share what you're learning but not others' personal details (e.g., names and personal stories).
Advocating for yourself by providing feedback. Your input will help us improve the program and your experience.
Is the information I share in this program confidential?
The members of Verte Collaborative follow the International Coaching Federation Code of Ethics (https://coachfederation.org/code-of-ethics ). We are committed to holding all information shared during one-on-one sessions in the strictest confidence. During our first group coaching session, we will discuss the importance of confidentiality among the group.
Please note that we will be recording each group coaching session for group participants to access. Please also note that we cannot monitor what all group members may say outside of the group coaching environment.
Will the group sessions be recorded?
We understand schedule conflicts can come up unexpectedly. We will record each group coaching session for all participants to access. We do ask that everyone commit to not sharing the recordings with anyone outside the program to maintain a safe and confidential space for participants (see above).
When do I need to pay for my registration?
Full payment is due by midnight on the Sunday before the first group session unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. (Please see details in the following question.)
Is it possible to pay in installments?
Please contact Verte Collaborative at vertecollaborative@gmail.com regarding a payment plan.
Can my employer pay for this?
Yes! We'd love to support you in asking for professional development dollars to use for this program. Please email us at vertecollaborative@gmail.com if you would like assistance. If you have already made the request, please let us know if you need an invoice when you register!
What is your refund policy?
If you have begun the program but an extenuating circumstance has arisen and you are not able to participate for the full duration of the program, please reach out to us at vertecollaborative@gmail.com. We are committed to work with you to best support your forward movement.
Is my $50 deposit non-refundable?
If, at anytime before the program begins, you determine it is not a good fit for you, we will return your $50 deposit. Please email us at vertecollaborative@gmail.com to request a refund.
How many people will be in the program?
Verte Collaborative is committed to delivering a transformational program to all participants. In order to do that, registration will be limited. Each group session will be facilitated to ensure everyone has the opportunity to participate.
If a seat is not available during the current program, we will start a waiting list for the next program!
Can I sign up with a friend or colleague?
Yes! In fact we encourage you to find a buddy to experience this program with. Often the greatest impacts received from coaching happen outside of the structured engagements, when you have time to think and process your insights and learning. What better way to make this investment in yourself more sustainable by having an accountability partner to support you in continuing the work!
Sign up with a friend or colleague and you'll each receive a $50 discount.
What if I have other questions?
We’d love to chat! Please contact us at vertecollaborative@gmail.com and we’ll answer your questions or set up a call to discuss them further.
